I would highly recommend Mick, he is young but extremely knowledgeable and understanding to individual requirements. Mick was hard working, tidy and efficient. I was totally happy with the job after each day and Mick communicated throughout to keep me up to date on what was happening. I have already booked in for another project in April. Well worth a call for any decorating needs. Thank you Mick for all your hard work
Questions
Interior painting FAQs
How long does it take to paint a room?
It depends on the size of the room and how much preparation it needs. An average room usually takes 1-2 days for a refresh and 3-4 days for a full redecoration. Your written quote will include a timeframe for your job.
Do I need to move my furniture?
Yes. If you move the furniture into the middle of the room and I will protect it and cover it. It helps if you clear small items like ornaments, pictures and anything fragile beforehand.
Can you help me choose colours?
Yes. I'm happy to give advice on colours and finishes based on the room, the light and how you use the space. I can also bring or recommend sample pots so you can see colours on your own walls before deciding.
When can I use the room again?
Most modern water-based paints are touch-dry within a few hours, so you can usually use the room the same evening once I've tidied up. Paint takes a couple of weeks to fully harden, so it's best to avoid wiping walls or pushing furniture tight against fresh woodwork during that time.
Do you supply the paint?
I can supply the paint, or use paint you've already bought. I use quality trade paints from Johnsons Trade & Dulux Trade, and I'm happy to use your preferred brand.
Do you paint new plaster?
Yes. New plaster needs to dry fully first, then gets a mist coat (thinned paint) so the finish coats bond properly.
Can you work around me while I'm living in the house?
Yes. I work room by room where possible and tidy up at the end of each day.
